The first song on this album is called "The Reaping", which focuses on an acoustic guitar and piano. In the middle of the song you hear thunder crackle. This signals in your brain that a storm is upon us and that we may be about to see the apocalypse for these characters. We can also get this message from the album art, such as the rock flying away from the ground, the man looking into the city and the smoke rising from the city.

The title song and second song on the album is "No World for Tomorrow". The chorus of the song is "Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?" To me, this song means focus on today. If you can do something today, that you plan to do tomorrow, just do it today. Tomorrow is never guaranteed, so live for today.

The next song I want to talk about on this album is "Feathers". In the music video for this song a stay at home mom is making breakfast for her family and they run out of sausage. Little do they know that she is not making regular sausage. She is cooking the milk man and the paper boy. That afternoon when the husband and kids get home from work and school there is a full feast of meat waiting on the table. The song talks about keeping secrets from everyone and hiding your "feathers".

The following song is "Running Free". This song is about Josh (the drummer) having to leave the band to go to rehab. Josh had been fighting drug addiction for several years and it had caught up with him. He didn't feel well and had to leave the band while they were on tour. Josh was living in a hell that he had made himself by taking the drugs.

One of the best songs on the album is "Mother Superior". The reason I like this song so much is that it talks about suicide and what a person goes through before doing it. The lyrics "You've got nothing to prove" and "A fear sleeps inside your stomach, it swells" really touch me. No matter what we go through, everything will be okay. Because if we do pull that trigger we are not only saying goodbye to the bad stuff, we are saying goodbye to the good stuff as well.

The last song on this album is called "V-On The Brink". This song is about the main character in the story taking on his new life. He asks to be driven home one last time, he receives 57 'hails' and the song ends. He has completed his quest and saved the love of his life, but he can not be with her because he is guilty of killing.
